Andreas Reich

Thank you for taking an interest in my portfolio. I’m a passionate designer driven by creating products that make an impact at scale. I currently work at IBM, the world’s largest design agency. While I may not love problems and riddles themselves, I truly enjoy the process of solving them—especially when it leads to meaningful improvements in people’s daily work. I strongly believe in feedback culture and collaboration, and over the years I’ve learned to leave my ego behind. The best outcomes are never achieved alone.

I’m always curious and eager to learn something new. I lose track of time when sketching, playing guitar, or getting lost in a good book.

At the moment, I’m not actively looking for new opportunities, but I’m always open to side projects. Feel free to reach out.

Values

Design, for me, is more than a profession—it’s an attitude. It’s something you live, reflect on, and carry with you before and after work. Through years of working with different clients and challenges, I’ve shaped a set of principles that guide my thinking and practice.

People first

Watching people work with or interact with a solution is what makes design meaningful to me. User‑centered design gives my work purpose. At the beginning of every project, I focus on understanding the people behind the problem—their needs, motivations, and daily realities.

Learning

A growth mindset and a commitment to lifelong learning are essential in design. I actively seek out unfamiliar and sometimes uncomfortable spaces, because that’s where real learning happens. Trying new approaches and challenging assumptions helps me grow—as a designer and as a collaborator.

Simplicity

I believe in simplicity and clarity. Reducing complexity, decluttering information, and establishing a clear hierarchy are key to good design. As noise and distraction continue to increase, creating calm, focused, and intuitive experiences becomes even more important.
